Training & Lessons
Testimonial:
Ribling Quarter horses, Annet and Kelly Ribling.
We met Annet around 2003. We got to know them around the barn and arenas were we all were riding at the time. In 2005 we had a 2yr old we needed to have started. From watching Annet ride and work with young horses we wanted her to start our filly with the intentions of selling her after. Annet worked with her for 3-4 months and helped us sell her to Honduras. We were so excited with the way the training and experience went that we bought 2 weanlings that year knowing they would go to Annet when it was time to start them. When the time came we sent these 2 fillies to Annet and she started and rode them for close to 8 months. We still have these 2 mares to this day and show them and love them to death… but most of all we love how amazingly broke they are. Annet takes her time and works on things at the horse’s level and speed. Nothing is pushed or skipped. I also tell people if they are having an issue or need something started… Go see Annet she is the most technical rider I have ever met and she will figure what it is and help you fix it. The horses are taken care of better than she takes care of herself in so many ways. If they need something she will find a way to get it for them. The horses come first and foremost. When they have been ridden, feed, and put away for the night… then she will do what she needs for herself and not before. Annet has started or finessed 7 horses for us between, 2005-2011. All of them turned out amazing. We sold 2 to a ranch that use them during the day and let the kids ride them at night. A couple turned out to be great sorting horses. The 2 mares we kept have both won year end high point buckles in reining and working cow horse. The last thing we would like to say about Annet and Kelly is. They work with the owners and riders of the horses and want them to be involved with the training. Training is a waste if you don’t come and ride the horse during its training. The Training can be wasted if you don’t understand what the horse is telling you when you get it home and things aren’t working like they were when the trainer was riding it. Training is a 2 part process… Teach the horse and the owner what it is we are teaching in our training. Alexis and I will be out riding and struggling with something and we will stop and say to ourselves, what would Annet say is happening and what am “I” doing to cause it. We have to remember the horse is trained to do what we ask of it. If it isn’t responding we aren’t asking properly. We would and will always recommend Annet Ribling and Ribling Quarter horses to anyone wanting to have a horse started, or finessed. They are amazing people that have worked hard to learn and to take bits and pieces of other people’s programs that they have learned through clinics and lesson’s and worked it into her program. The best trainers never stop learning new things, and I know Annet is always reading and researching and taking in clinics to better herself so that she can pass it onto the horses she rides.

Lessons
Testimonials:
"Neato and I were both newbies to reining when I started taking lessons with Annet. After only one winter of regular lessons, she had a great foundation of all the reining maneuvers, and we even scored a 68.5 in our first ranch reining class! Annet's patience and ability to clearly explain the fundamentals has given me a great start in my reining career!" Mary Roelefson

Testimonials:
"When Kelly first starting doing my horse's feet over two years ago, I had had constant soundness issues with her, she had a splayed hind foot despite regular Farrier work. I paid many a vet bill trying to find out why. After having Kelly out once she has consistently improved and hasn't taken a lame step since. Kelly is hands down the most gentle and patient with my horse, he never gets frustrated and takes everything in stride. He is also by far the most reliable farrier I have ever worked with, he is there when and where he says he will be. I trust him with her completely and very highly recommend him." Elle Westrop
